Anyone know to source a good tank for a 1996 Adventure. Looks like it must be a Winnie fabrication.

I have been under the impression that the gasoline tanks come with the chassis, so I would check with Ford parts.

What's wrong with yours? I bought a tank at Michigan Truck Parts in Westland, Michigan years ago. Do you want to stay with something in the 80 gallon range? Frame rails on most stuff in the medium duty kind of size is fairly standard. Might be able to make some thing work, but smaller tanks are more common.

And what chassis do you have? Chevy, Ford, or Freightliner (although that wouldn't have a "gas" tank)?

I have a Ford chassis. It is leaking under a strap. Probably rust. I have a 75 gallon and would like to replace it with something similar.

How much was it? I know it was some time ago.

I forget what I paid. They have stuff in the $500 to $1000 range at their site, but just a couple Ford big truck tanks right now.

There's been threads over the years where folks were looking for tanks. Most never reported back what they found. There's an aftermarket one that pops up in searches, really pricey as I recall.

Thanks. I haven’t been able to find any close to what it looks like either.

Have you tried the RV salvage network? They are places that work in a network fashion to send out a notice of what they need to find and that can work faster than what we might try to sort out!
This is one site:

I would suggest starting with a search for the chassis, not the brand like Winnebago as lots of different RV are made on the same stripped chassis as well as many different truck uses. You may find a tank for a beer wagon is the same as for the RV! That makes the search much more likely to get a hit!
There's a 99 Ford truck setting in about half the back yards in Texas, so it's a matter of finding the right one!
