Fridge cooling times? 2004 Adventurer 33V

There are a lot of factors that can effect the cooling rate of any refrigerator. Is the outside panel, where the fridge vents in the direct sun. What is the internal temperature of the RV? Was the refrigerator loaded with warm groceries or was the refrigerator pre-cooled and loaded with chilled groceries. Most refrigerator coils are cooled by convection. I added a muffin fan to circulate air around the external coils and it drastically improved cooling.

I looked removed the outside cover for the fridge wiring and propane line are. I found this round (sensor?) thing sitting in what looks like a drip tray with water in it. What is this? Would this have something to do with the long cooling down period?

A few points to suggest that may lead to a different way to search for the info needed?
Rv are a collection of parts that different builders make and then Winnebago adds them to the stripped chassis. Those parts are then prone to being changed after 20+ years of use. Something like we might find in a twenty year old house? What frig we find may depend on what the last owner may have left there!
Those points make the question of what goes wrong with your specific RV a bit of a qwestion that needs firm info as a first step. One of the big things I like to search out first is what frig I am working on.
There should be a label to ID the frig and that can get you down to online manuals that can give drawings of all the parts! If that part is the same as the two red wires on the board, you can find that info on the drawings and that will be far more reliable than most of our guesses! First guess would be that it is not meant to have power wires run into a drip tray!
But the true value of finding what you have and getting the correct manual is that it should not only give parts info and where to find them but the really big idea is that many manuals will give a step by step process of how to sort the trouble!
I now find it helps to cut the time finding the correct manual if I get the brand and model number, then go to one of the AI like Copilot to ask for info specific to that frig!
With the parts drawings in hand, at least you can spot what it is called and where it should be?

I did not mean to shut down asking questions that are still going to come up! Written info can only get us so far at times.
But when I look at RV repair, I see it far less like a car and more like we have a small house that somebody stuck on a flatbed truck and filled with things they bought at a big box store!
