On my 2019 Vista 29VE my water tank started leaking on my last trip.
After some investigation I found that a screw from a furnace vent cover penetrating the tank.
My question is can the tank be easily repaired. It seems like a lot of work and expense to replace the whole
tank for a very tiny hole (water drips out slowly after the screw was removed). Anyone know of a simple fix that
will be permanent? Some type of sealant, flex seal, eternabond???

Thanks for your help.

Get a stainless steel screw same size and as short as the hole and use some aquarium silicon sealant safe for fish and humans and secure screw in the same hole don’t overthink or over tighten don’t want strip out the hole

Of course we are assuming you can access and screw in the screw

We had a similar issue with our fresh water tank on our 2008 Sightseer. Because the tanks aren’t manufactured anymore I bought a plastic welding kit and did the repair myself. Now I have all the supplies to repair the Grey and Black tanks as well.

I had a corner crack on my 29R. I looked into welding it but its an inside corner. I decided to try the repair tape first. My thought was that if it didn't work I could weld it later. So far its been two years and no leakage. In a flat location it would work well.

I used 2" Eternabond. I also used it to repair a gash in my aluminum boat. Still floating :) Link below
