Well, tomorrow is almost here. If the PDI goes well, I'll be the proud owner of a 1997 Adventurer 37RW by noontime. I'll be driving it home from Naples FLA. to Cape Cod MA. Wish me luck as I'll need all I can get (1st moho).
I'll be looking for some karma and instructions on how to get "Winnebago Forum Member" placed under my sign on name. Gosh, I hope I can sleep tonight.

I like to say the first MH is the best one but they have all been great! Congrats and best of luck on the drive home :)

Best advise I can offer is to try and relax when you drive - if you are tense you will have a tendancy to overdrive it. Cross winds are the worse to contend with but if you watch your mirrors and anticipate the push/pull it will be easier on you.

Have a great ride and enjoy.

Rocket Heart, VERY good advice! I'm enroute home as I type and have experienced both wind and push/pull. Mirrors are helping with the p/p but crosswinds....geez are they a surprise! Thanks.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your MH

Update:
Currently in NJ for the night and will be home by tomorrow. All I can say is that it's been one awesome trip. I can report that concrete highways are the pits and new asphalt is a dream come true.

You should checkout the Koni shocks to get some "expansion joint" relief. The ride is so much smoother on the concrete, yet they are very firm when you need it. You'll find lot's of good info here on the forum.

Enjoy your new rig...

Peter.......Enjoy that MH and just take things slow at first. We are only on our second MH but are still just as excited as we were the day we bought the first one. Do not be at all shy about asking questions. We all have questions we need to ask now and again. ENJOY

The odessy has ended, home safe and sound and in one piece.
NJ had the best gas prices hands down.
The only casualty to report was the loss of a red lense, side marker light...probably due to pot holes and construction around New Haven CT.
Was beautiful to see spring popping from the Georgia northward, but once into New England...more of the same old blah I left a week ago.
Looks like a wash-n-wax will take up a couple of weekends. Now, to figure out how to scaffold the side of this behemoth

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and sage advice.
