Good morning!

We just picked up our first Class A, a 1999 Ultimate Advantage 38K.

We have two travel trailers, one of which we've completely renovated including a 100% floor replacement. So we're not new to the RV maintenance and repair game. But this Winnie presents a whole new challenge.

She needs a lot of love. The inverter is shot and it appears that the 7.5 genset needs a new control board. Every inch of sealant needs to be replaced and some leaks need to be cleaned up. The dash AC doesn't blow cold air and the vacuum pump runs constantly. The dash gauges are doing all kinds of crazy things including a fuel gauge that swings violently on turns, a rear air pressure gauge that pegs out, and oil pressure gauge that's pegged out, and now the speedometer recently pegged out. The ABS light comes on when you try to honk the horn (and there's no horn). There was a leak around the slide, and the vinyl plank below it needs to be replaced (meaning all of the vinyl needs to be replaced). And there is some delimitation from the leaking seams on on one side.

The good news is that the drive engine is very solid and runs great. The brakes are good. The body structure is very strong. New caulk on the roof and above the windshield appears to have stopped all leaks. We're ready to dive in and make her our dream coach. We got a **** of a deal, so I don't mind investing in her.

I look forward to searching the board and picking your brains. Thanks in advance for all of the help.

Mel

I think you have your work cut out for you. It is fun to get things the way you want them but takes time. Would love to see pictures when you get it all done.
