Greetings RV lovers,

We are heading out for our first "winnie" trip. We used to travel in a 37' Solitude 5th wheel and decided to down size to a 32' 2020 Outlook 31N. Bought used with only 3800 miles logged to it. We have taken it on small trips around the area, but are heading to Key West next week for 3 weeks.
Being retired military, we are staying on military bases on the way down when we can and KOAs and Harvest Host locations otherwise. Nashville for a few days, is one of our stops on the way down.
So far I am impressed with the smooth ride offered by the RV. Even better is the comfort my wife has with driving it as well.
We will give reviews of places we stayed and the overall trip, good and not so good.
Be "talking" with you all soon.

Congrats on your retirement! Hope you and DW have a great trip. We were down there last year. We stayed in our motorhome in Marathon at the Jolly Roger rv park. Had a great time and looking forward to going back and staying longer.
A stop at The Wreck restaurant very close to the JR resort is a must for us now. The absolute best Key Lime pie I've ever had! (and I've had a lot of them!)

A few ideas for South Florida

If you get a chance and are interested, stop by the Coral Castle on the way down or back. Interesting place and story.

If you haven't visited the Everglades, might be worth a side trip. Lots of wildlife on US 41 / Tamiami Trail. The Oasis ranger station is a good stop for wildlife viewing, restroom break, etc.

Less than a mile from the ranger station is one of famed photographer Clyde Butcher's galleries. Beautiful images from Mr. Butcher as well as some other very talented photographers.

Safe travels!
