Happy Sunday All,

Only took almost two years (original thread here - https://www.winnieowners.com/forums/f260/inverter-install-for-minnie-2801bhs-365702.html) but I finally have a inverter setup for my trailer, attached some pictures. Since we're not sure how long we're keeping the trailer I decided to make a portable setup and not touch the main internal electronics.

Essentially I have a portable ish power bank with a 280 and 100 aH batteries. Makes winterizing nice and I've used the inverter in power cuts to keep working at home. If we're boon docking I connect the inverter into the main power for the trailer to run most stuff except for the air con and microwave.

Need to finish by connecting the 50amp fuse to the solar in the trailer with a quick connect and she is "done". :)

Woah, there... if you're going to connect the inverter directly to your shore power inlet then you MUST also switch off the breaker for your Converter.

Otherwise you are taking 12vdc from your batteries and inverting it to 110vac that is then fed into the shore power inlet and sent to the Converter where it is reconverted back into 12vdc and sent to the batteries.

Obviously, that is a discharge/charging LOOP that is doing nothing but wasting your battery's power.

ummmm. So I had a "rv guy" do the wiring. The 100 aH lithium sits there by itself for the trailer, all the crap in the pictures is standalone except for it taking the solar feed.... I think. I'll check with him. He installed it in November so I've not had a chance to play with it all yet.

I'll ask him if I'm looping.
