fabric ceiling

are we talking a few spots ... or the whole ceiling?

I've had really good luck using products like Woolite Oxy Deep on small and large spots. If you are doing the ceiling in its entirety, maybe using this mixed with an upholstery cleaning machine would work. -RT

We had ours steam cleaned by Stanley Steamer....they tried to bounce us on the price but the job they did was a pretty good one

We had this plastic in our now departed 2004 Sightseer 27C. Water leak stains (not too extensive) we removed by spraying a 50-50 water/bleach on the stains with no blotting or scrubbing and leaving alone for 24 hours. Had to repeat same process 1 or 2 times to get all the color out.

This does not sound appropriate for your entire ceiling.

We had a roof leak around the air horns, finally scrapped off all the old caulking and used Eternabond, no more leaks. To answer your question, the fabric ceiling stained a brown color, probably from the glue and wood. We used OxyClean and sprayed it good and blotted it with a clean rag. Did that a few times, then sprayed it again and set up a blotting rag with a support to keep it against the ceiling overnight. It worked well for us.
