Extreme Heat Cause Fridge Failure? 2019 Minnie Winnie 31G

We have a Norcold N8XRT RV fridge. I have a question about what conditions it can handle. The RV was left out in high heat conditions(107 degrees outside) much hotter inside the RV for many hours. The AC was not running to keep the RV cool. The fridge stopped cooling and had to be reset. It then did the same thing again in extreme temps and now the whole refrigerator needs to be replaced due to a blocked cooling unit. Does extreme heat cause fridge failures?

High heat can cause a lack of cooling and cooling unit damage if allowed to in such conditions.
How do you know the cooling unit is blocked/damaged? Do you seen any yellow powdery residue around the back of the unit?

Unfortunately I am not physically with the RV. Our RV is being rented and we had to have a technician dispatched to their location. The first technician removed the protective plate saying that it was not getting enough air flow and installed another fan. The renters went on their way and it worked for a bit and then stopped again. A second technician was dispatched and they stated the cooling unit was blocked and the fridge would need to be replaced. I’ll ask them about the residue. The renters left if sitting for 10+ hours in high heat conditions with no AC and the fridge running twice before it finally failed completely.

No expert on the whole process but when we think of the flame used to heat the chemicals and that flame is pretty much directly on the metal holding them, it seems ambient heat of even 150 Degrees would not be much compared to the heat of the flame?

Heat definitely will cause lack of cooling but to make the unit become blocked? Not sure I'm onboard with that !
I might be more inclined to say overheating by a massive amount might cause overpressure and make the ammonia leak but overheat from ambient temps are not at all uncommon in RV stored in desert areas and we don't get many reports of it being a problem.

Considering that 107 is not really high temperature for many parts of the country, I'm not sure that is a factor. Central Texas is past 40 days of temps above 100 and not many stored RV will have failed frigs!
Things have a way of failing that leads us away from what really happened.
