Hi Everyone, We have a Winnie Class A on order. It is our first MH. We were given a brochure to look over on extended warranties. We don't know if they are worth the money or not, and don't know anyone who has a MH with warranty. All opinions on this are most welcome.
(We had an exteded warranty on our "01 Silverado TV which came in handy when the fuel injectors went bad). We are definitely on the fence on this one!
Thank you all!

We just picked up our Vectra last friday. We have always had the extended warrenty on our coaches (5) and it is transferable or refundable if you don't use all the years. We are getting a refund on the last warrenty because the dealer uses a different, and better, one now. We like the peace of mind and feel it is a good investment on something this costly.

I never buy extended warranties. Put the cost of the warranty aside and you will be dollars ahead.

Besides from what I have read in forums, many extended warranties make you jump through hoops to make a claim and they look for ways to deny your claims.

Well now you have both views.

Had one on my previous coach and did use it on mor than a couple of occasions but in the long run we would have been money ahead by just paying for the fixes ourselves.

Picking up my new coach today and refused the extended coverage (watch me eat my words now!!)

The general sentiment is that most extended warranties aren't ever used and therefore not worth the money. However, if you decide that it provides you with a degree of peace of mind, don't make the mistakes I made when I bought one with the purchase of my new coach last May.

First, I don't think you need to purchase it at the time you purchase your coach. Wait nearly a year until your coach warranty is about to expire. Secondly, be sure to negotiate the purchase price! I was so proud of myself for negotiating a good price on the coach, I agreed to pay list price for the extended warranty. Big mistake. These are very negotible.

Just out of curiosity what is a typical cost for an extended warranty?
When the time comes for new I have been wondering about getting one.
