Having an electrical issue with the main control panel. The panel operates intermittently as vibration from the entry door opening and closing turns it on and off. Also has anyone come across an after market faceplate for the entertainment screen so it faces towards the driver. It has a glare factor with it facing directly back into the coach

We may need more info on what you mean by "main control panel", as that may mean different things to different people. Looking around near the door there are some switches on the left of the door?
Or do you mean the monitor panel which is farther back away from the door where most of the controls are located?
Since there are three different electrical systems in the RV, it will help if you can tell us if it is the 12VDC RV items, the 12VDC chassis items or the 110AC that is a problem.
Maybe just some info on what stops working , etc. would aim us in the right direction?

Sorry for the questions, but the devil IS often in the details and we don't have enough to go on, right now.

By "main control panel" I'm guessing that you are referring to the Connected Coach Home Screen.

This should not be effected by vibration from the motorhome's door. This sounds like a loose connection. Certainly a problem that a Winnebago dealer would need to take a look at. If you are handy and can see how the screen is mounted perhaps you could remove it and check the wiring connections behind the screen. But other than that, head to a Winnebago service shop.

My thought was that if they were able to cut it down to some specific item, there might be a chance. One hint seemed to be the location of the problem. If the door seems to be causing one specific item to fail, that would be a different thing. But if it is a general loss of all coach 12VDC power, that might be a loose wire or problem with the coach battery disconnect switch next to the door?

If a jar from the door makes the coach battery go open, that kills a lot of things!

That "might" mean the One Place power would be lost?
If it gets into any one specific item at the One Place, that is getting way deep into the woods to find it!

Thank you so much for your reply. It is the main control panel we are having the issue with. We presently have it a dealership and are in contact with winnebago tech support

Thanks for your reply. I presently have it at a dealership and have forwarded the dealer your thoughts. It has been extremely frustrating with it working intermittent .

Hit and miss is certainly the bad one to get!
If still a problem, I might think it over and see if there really is a connection between vibration or jars at the door making something go open??
One thing that might certainly upset the monitor panel would be if the coach battery supply going through the disconnect switch at the door was not solid!

Thinking that if the door does really change things, maybe working the idea of loose connections at that switch could be reasonably simple?
To test that idea, maybe try thumping the switch or nearby to see if a simple jar changes things? If banging on the wall near the switch changes the monitor way back further, I would then want to pull the switch to look at the wires to make sure they are connected well!

But the best hope is that the dealer gets it fixes on the first trip and you can enjoy it!
