Easy fix but annoying.....

When I add a note to a thread as I can often do, I do not want any notice sent to my personal email that someone else had added another note.

Is there a general way to just shut off this option or do I have to do it for every thread that I answer?

Edit Options.
Scroll down a bit to "Default Thread Subscription Mode". I have mine set to "Do Not subscribe" so I have to select if I want a subscription.
