We just bought a 2007 Meridian. Coming home from our last trip in cold weather I noticed it was awful drafty. This is our first MH with the front door and maybe this is normal.
When we were parked at a campground, another draft was coming in the window behind the seat in the dining booth.
This is our first Winnebago and wonder if all this is normal.

If you are saying there is cold air coming in around the entry door, the answer is NO, that is not normal.

If you are saying there is cold air coming in around a window, the answer is NO, that is not nomal ...not for a Winnebago product, and hopefully not for any others!!

We found that we sometimes do not get our entry door totally shut. We have not noticed any air coming in, but do have increased noise in that situation. And the big box can be much cooler up front in the area of the big windshield and entry area ...but no air should be coming in from outside when the door & windows are closed.

You need to trace down the leaks to determine if it is bad weather-stripping, bad fit, or what ...then have it dealt with under warranty.

I agree with AFChap. We have 17,000 mi. on ours and have never felt a "Draft".

Check to see if the side windows are closed and locked. Sometimes if they aren't locked you could get a draft.

Window first:
As Fakrwee stated, check to see if the window is closed all the way and locked. We had the same problem after our first trip. What we found was the window was not going back between the two felt strips all the way hence, wind noise and cold air entering. The fix was simple, we found the felt was slightly misaligned not allowing the window to seat. I used a putty knife to push the felt in place and that did it. Might want to check this.

As far as the door I have no air leaks.

Chuck found the window locked, but not closed all the way.

The draft could be coming in there and around the passenger chair. We will find out when we leave for Florida in Dec.
No one felt the draft near the booth. So many it was my imagination.
This is by far, the best motor home we've owned. We've owned several trying to find "it". There is no perfect motorhome. Took us many units and $$$$ to finally get the message

I had two windows where the window appeared to slide into place and lock but in fact part of the seal was folded over and not actually sealing.

For example, on a left to right closing slider where open edge of the glass contacts the seal the seal was all messed up. Looked to me like it the seal was folded over when the window was made and closed/shipped/installed in the rig. By the time it was in use the seal was ruined.

I called Winnebago and Attwood and once we decoded the right part numbers for the widnows Attwood sent me new seals. Not difficult to replace.

We have found that we sometimes fail to get the slider windows all the way closed. If the lock lever is turned just right, it catches on the frame. You can think it is closed & locked, but in reality it is neither.
