Don Clark one of the founders of Grand Designs and current CEO of Grand Designs has been promoted to CEO of the entire Towables division of Winnebago.

He does however... remain as CEO of Grand Designs. So, one would assume GD is his first priority.

Shame, because Towables could use a shakeup in my opinion.

@creativepart @Bluesky — I have no horse in this race but I am curious, what would you like to see coming from Winnebago towables? New floorplans? New aesthetic design? Modern features? Etc.

An improvement in Customer Service would be first - before what you are asking about. The reps are polite and want to be helpful, but they can't (for reasons I'm unaware of). Whether I'm right or wrong, I've convinced myself their system is flawed.

As far as travel trailers go I think they are all the same with different decals. I would go for sturdiness and depenpability as opposed to modernization. I would buy any brand that had the floorplan I was looking for and the right features. Any travel trailer purchase, regardless of price, is a keep-your-fingers-crossed experience.

Floorplans and features are more important to me than design. I'm one of those folks who want performance rather than looks. That said, comfort is important and has to be designed into it.

Us RVers are a big group with different comfort levels, outlooks, and different expectations. ... hard to market to us as individuuals.
