My wife calls me a Space Hog with my notebook computer taking-up more than half of the counter space. I do enjoy my Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard, but it is big:

What I miss most when not using this large keyboard is the numpad. Here is my set-up with a much smaller Jelly Comb Numpad:

Here you can see our Chulux K-cup coffee maker. It is small enough to fit behind the sink, and with it located there is much less likely to be tipped-over on the dog:

I had Winnebago make a flip-up countertop extension when they built our 22Mthat goes from the left side of the sink and adds about 18" of countertop; really like it. i don't have pics of it but I can take them when I get home in a few days if desired.

Yes, pictures please! Would like to see details of the hinge work as well.
Thanks.

Like pictures also, I thought about adding one but the counter is not straight on the left side by the door, curious how they did it, I also have a 2018 22m, thanks

Here is a floor-space saving idea, for when camped for the night. Move the passenger seat all the way forward, fit a block of wood in the space between the aft horizontal frame of the seat and the coach floor, and keep the dog's water there.

Here's some pictures of the Countertop extension Winnebago made as part of the order for my 2019 22M. Sorry I didn't get the measurements when I took the pictures but somebody really wants to know width/length I can get them next time I'm at the storage area:

Space saving counter top

Really like your drop down counter extension, please provide measurements so that I can make one.
Thank You
Tom Kelly

Really like that counter extension. Just purchased a 22M last week. The wife really would like that feature. I contacted my dealer and they told me that is not available on my model. I don’t understand. Not to happy with dealer anyway. Do you have a contact that you ordered that from I was told if I got the VIN number, the last 6 digits they can look it up. I am not sure you would be willing to give that up. But maybe the contact or dealer you used. Thanks Again

Tom,

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier on the measurments on my drop-down counter extension. Is is 19 3/4" long (from door to hallway), and 16" wide (extending toward front of vehicle). That includes the rubber bumper material that goes around the extension, matching the same material on the countertop.

Lance,

My countertop extension and my rope step light were items as I asked the dealer (Johnson RV, in Fife, Washington) to order for me as part of my purchase order of the vehicle. They were made by the Winnebago custom shop at the factory and installed either at the time of manufacture or after it was manufactured before the vehicle shipped.

C02032 are the last 6 digits of my VIN number. I also had Winnebao prewire my vehicle for satellite dish and solar panel, which I installed at another dealer after I took possesion of the coach.

So the dealer is correct, those are not factory option but orderable as a special item by the Winnebago Custom Shop. My dealer knew about the Custom Shop, and I visited it at Forest City before I completed my order of the coach. They can do a lot there if they know what you want.

We purchased an Oak top flip up counter extension and matching Sink top friction fit cutting board from CW just south of Portland Oregon on our last trip through there. I was able to mount the flip up by fabricating a simple L bracket out of hardwood and screwed that underneath the counter overhang. By mounting the flip up extension support bracket to the fabricated wood mount there are no holes in the sink bulkhead. Did this so the next owner (when the time comes to move on to another RV) will have the option of removing it without having to try to fill holes.
Now this mounting arrangment obviously means the two counter surfaces do not line up like Old Foresters do, but this is not a problem for us.The advantages far outweigh this minor issue.
Sorry I don't remember costs of two items but they certainly weren't overly exspensive - even after taking in Canada - US $ exchange rate (HAH),
All that said I feel the flip up shoukd be standard on the unit; especially when you consider where the only galley AC outlet is located. Until we did this little mod it was always a chore balancing the kettle and toaster on the tiny bit of counter near the plug.

Very nice matching countertop extension ! A quick, practical fix for the lack of space can be solved by purchasing a Camco 43421 Oak Accents Countertop Extension w/ hardware 12" x 13.25" . We found one on ebay shipped/no tax for $32.40. Not quite as big but definitely a low cost improvement.
