Nice pictures and very interesting. We are up in the Adirondacks till early December and it is a first for us being this far north so late in the year.
It is also our first cold season in the Horizon so I'm curious how well your's has handled that cold weather. Did you have to use both furnaces? Do you have any electric heat? For now we can use the heat pump during the day and we have 2 small ceramic heaters which mostly keep us warm without the furnace. Cause I'm cheap and the campground pays the electric! We have to be back by March 1 next year so it most likely will be colder then than when we leave.

Great Pictures!! Thanks for sharing. We spent 15 years in the great state of Colorado and spent 11 years living in a home above 8000 feet.

Now that our home is on wheels we are enjoying all of the climates as you are.

In below freezing weather we supplement our propane heater with two thermostat controlled ceramic heaters, one in the bedroom and the other in the kitchen. It is a balancing act to set the thermostats on the ceramic heaters such that the propane heater will still cycle on occasionally to keep the basement above freezing.

I rarely use the second propane heater in the bath area.

I used to worry about the water compartment freezing. I recently added a 110 volt outlet inside my water compartment. I plug in a digital thermostat controlled outlet with a 60 watt light bulb. Now the light goes on when the temp is below 40 degrees and heats the water compartment. I also added some foam insulation around the sewer hose. Now I forget about the water pump freezing.

Thanks for the info and heads up on the water pump. I'll look into the bulb in the water compartment as the pump is on that outside plastic wall.

I also rarely use the second furnace except try to force it on some to give it some exercise.

I would like to find some insulating material I can install underneath like around the water compartment and also on the outside of the entrance steps as that seems to be the coldest area of my Horizon. I have an infrared thermometer and the step temps are at least 10 degrees colder than anywhere else in the coach. When I looked underneath it looks like just the metal steps and then the vinyl inside. I would like something with a durable outside skin.

Any ideas?? Any one?
