We have a 2000 winnebago journey 36G , we are doing some maintenance changing out the two diesel filters. Any one done this? Do I have to prime them

Your MH has the Cummins ISB 5.9 engine. I think the main fuel filter has a priming lever; some have a bleed-screw also. You use the manual priming lever until fuel flows out the bleed screw then re-tighten the bleed screw.
Only replace one at a time, start engine and allow it to run for several minutes before replacing the 2nd inline.

I have the 5.9 Cummins on a 2004 Journey. We have a fuel strainer and a fuel filter. The strainer does not need priming. For the filter, it is primed by turning on the key to the accessory mode without starting. You will hear the fuel pump running at the back of the coach near the filter. When the fuel pump stops, turn the key off and back on to repeat the process. After 3-5 times (I can’t remember exactly how many times it typically takes) the fuel pump will only run for a few seconds. It is now primed and you can crank it up and let it run. Your engine and fuel system could obviously be different than my setup.
