Members are exploring whether the Winnebago Boldt 70BL can accommodate three sleepers, specifically for a family with a special needs child who cannot use a blow-up mattress or pop-up bed. The original poster requires a Class B RV with a queen bed in the back and is concerned about seat comfort for long rides and reported electrical issues in the Boldt. Suggestions include modifying the existing bed with plywood for extra space and considering a version with four captain’s chairs, possibly...

I have a special needs son that we have been struggling to travel.. plane flight are almost impossible with all the noise and people . we want to explore the RV world. Been trying to find something that will fit 3 in a class b . when we travel we need to be mobile ,, no sitting around enjoying the outdoor for very long.

he will not be able to sleep on a blow up mattress between driver and pass seats or a pop up .. other requirement is queen size bed in back

although the bed is a bit small ( i think i can fix with some plywood and brace or open to suggestions ) .. what are your thoughts on the

Winnebago Boldt 70BL.. is the seat comfortable for a long ride ? ( sorry font change ) . worried about this as there seems to be a bunch of issues with electrical ?

next question. if we got a 4 captain chair version has anyone replaced a captain chair with one that totally reclines into a flat position.

any other suggestions would be great.

thanks ahead of time.

Greetings advansite,
I have been totally happy with my Minnie Winnie 22M. I believe it would also meet your needs, and in some ways, much better. I would also recommend that you try renting twice from Cruise America; both the Compact Plus:
and the Standard:
By renting a couple of times, you might learn what works best for your situation.

We had a 2020 Boldt BL and traveled with our grandson. We picked up a Cab Bunk which creates 2 bunk beds over the front seats, Works great, takes about 3 min to setup and 3 to takedown. I'd highly recommend it. https://www.cabbunk.co.uk/
