Cab AC refill access on Winnebago Via

I need to check/ refill my cab AC and was wondering if you found any access from inside the cab.

Thank You
No, the fill port is under the hood behind the air box. There is zero access to anything in the engine bay from the cab unless you get out a sawzall. Remove the hood and cross bar for easier access.

I had a Mercedes dealer who never found the input port. I needed a new compressor but Mercedes installed a new blower fan. When the coolant gets too low the entire unit shuts down to save the compressor, that’s the issue I had. The compressor in my case needed to be replaced and I found a guy in Clearwater FL who found the issue and fixed it.

It’s not too bad. Was able to fill without removing anything. I was tempted to remove air box, but with a little patience was able to do.

Good to hear. Problem with removing the air box and running the engine is you will get a couple DTCs that you will then need to clear, not to mention the risk of sucking something into the turbo.

Mine leaks a little as well, I think it's common on these. I took it to the dealer the first time and they charged it and said they couldn't find a leak, next time I took it to an independent who said he could't find the leak either and he recharged it again. It lasts about 2 years, then the driver's side starts to warm up at low RPMs. I think next time I will just top it off myself. Did you just top it off?

I have my old Robinair manifold gauges but they are for R-12 so I'll either need to buy new ones or just grab a 134a top off kit.
