I see where you have the burner with your Adventure. I didn't opt for that one, just the 22" griddle top. I can set a pan of water on the griddle top and it will come to a boil. Griddle top gets up to around 500 degrees.
If I had known that you can boil water on the 22”, I woulda bought that one. Can’t become human in the a.m. until we’ve had coffee. We make it using the kettle and a Stanley Thermos press. The only time the 17” becomes a problem is when I make my world famous shrimp stir fry. Run out of room trying to cook the rice while other ingredients warming along the sides; and then the bok choy gets mushy. My fry is famous for the number of people I’ve made hurl chunks. In the end, having the side burner with the ability to quickly change burner temp, might win out, as my next culinary attempt will be Pho. Will let you know how that works out, if anybody lives through it.
As MSgt knows, you don’t have to be a great cook, because if you can eat cold C Rats with a healthy helping of hot sauce, you can eat just about anything that’s not furry, and has 4 legs and a long tail.
