Member Title: Divider Curtain for 2024 Winnebago View 24D
Members shared a variety of practical solutions for installing a divider curtain between the cab and living area in a Winnebago View 24D. The most common approaches include using flexible or telescoping curtain rods (from Walmart, Amazon, or hardware stores), often paired with blackout or insulated curtains for privacy and temperature control. Some RVers prefer tension rods or automotive clothes rods for easy, non-permanent setups, while others use stick-on hooks, Velcro tabs, or even...

We want to put a curtain up inside a Winnebago view 24 d that will separate the driver area from living area mainly at night, does anyone have a suggestion on how to hang the curtain.

Some View models come from the factory with a curtain in that location. The Winnebago parts are probably the best way to go.

We found small tabs of velcro were handy on some RV. We did not want the curtain as a fulltime thing to be in the way and found just putting it up when we wanted fit us better than tracks and full time curtain.
But what is the purpose? Is it to block view or control the temp better?

That curtain in the photo you posted is just a short curtain for the bunk. It doesn't separate the cab from the living area as the OP was requesting.

I don't think there is any one thing folks use. Certainly no non-custom solutions. There are $200 insulated curtains for Sprinter B-Vans, but not really intended for Class C motorhomes built on the Sprinter chassis.

Many use a tension curtain rod and curtain panels from Walmart or Target. But it's mostly based on solutions that you devise on your own.

My point in posting the photo was to show that a curtain track that is made for their RV is available. I realize that the curtain pictures is too short. The OP was looking for a way to hang a curtain.

You could probably get extensions made for the existing curtains, or replace them altogether with longer ones. Someone who makes custom curtains/drapes could likely help you. Or perhaps find an appropriate size sheet/throw/blanket and clip it onto the existing curtains.

Hope this helps.

Their RV option DOES NOT have a curtain. It has overhead cabnets instead of a bunk. Other configurations of the RV have a bunk and short curtain. My point is that they could buy a curtain track that is factory installed on other configurations of their RV.

Sounds as though you have the particulars of what they have and need. That should be more helpful for the OP than anything I might guess. I hope they get their issue solved.

I simply tuck a light quilt under the bunk cushions, and it hangs down to the floor and perfectly fills the area in question. When not in use, it barely takes up any room folded and stored in the bunk. Also helps regulate the heat inside the house, and eliminates the need for shades on the windshield and door windows. I still use shades in hot weather, mainly to deflect heat from inside the cab.

We put a 3/4 inch pipe across into a closet inside mount. Then we bought curtains from Amazon. We did a little hemming and it sure is nice.

We used a drapery rod (telescoping, not tension) from Walmart and suspended it at each end from small clear plastic Command hooks. The string used to suspend the rod was 300# test braided fishing line. My wife bought an insulated fabric curtain from Walmart that looks similar to the one above, then shortened it to the right length. We tie it back to another Command hook on the wall by the door when driving. Been working great for last 4 years and makes a big difference in keeping the "house" warm on cold nights when using our oscillating electric heater.

I made my own curtains one on each side with snaps to close in the middle. We used heavy duty snaps to hang it from the ceiling and sides. Then we use Velcro to hold the curtains back when not in use.

I took the curtain from the murphy bed and added magnetic curtain clips. (Amazon)
It extends the existing curtain almost to the floor enough to give the privacy you are looking for.
This way you are using matching curtain material and all you have to purchase are the magnetic curtain clips.

I have the same RV. I used a curtain pressure rod, it goes from side to side and holds up 3 blackout curtain panels I picked up at Costco. No mods to curtains. Keeps inside dark in the mornings!

I just stuff a fleece throw under the overhead cushion. Easy peasy

We have just used an automotive expanding clothes rod and some curtains from Walmart as a stop gap to making something more permanent. We’re on a trip and wanted to give this a try for under $50.

Hi, cpl0199-MOC. We bought a 2025 Winnebago Navion 24D this past April. Much like JTex above, we installed a curtain rod held up with mounts screwed into the walls. It's immediately on the coach side of the existing short curtain for the cab-over bunk. Luckily there was not any wiring lurking for me where I screwed through the wall. Then I just used 2 Sun Zero 63"L x 40"W Stone room darkening curtains from Lowes. Note that the one on the driver's side is only a little in front of the slide, so I just hang the left curtain over the captain's seat when I'm extending or retracting the slideout to keep it from getting caught. Easy peasy to simply slide the curtains closed at night for privacy. Good luck!
