An RVer with a 2019 Forza 34T reported battery voltage dropping from about 13V to 11.9V in 10 hours while running a residential Whirlpool refrigerator and CPAP. The monitor also showed intermittent draws of 32 to 36 amps. The RVer initially believed the four lead-acid batteries provided 800Ah and reported that all had passed load and voltage tests.

Members identified two important calculation issues: the listed NAPA batteries were rated at 105Ah each, totaling 420Ah, and the...

It used 50 amps in 12 hours or it drew 50 amps while running?
We saw approximately 50 or so amps depleted overnight - via a SmartShunt - from overnighting without power. I'm sure there were other draws plus the inverter overhead but the main thing running was the fridge so we attributed it commonly as the fridge used that much.

Of course, not only did the fridge use that power overnight but also all day long, as well. We loved that huge fridge and it worked great. But it wasn't ideal for off grid camping. We didn't really boondock, but did stay at Harvest Hosts, and campgrounds without power from time to time.

The original poster has not come back and it is obvious that his 3 amps is 10 times that plus inverter losses. His system is operating as it should. He needs more battery, more solar, or more generator.

BAD COMPRESSOR!
Sorry, I've been on the road traveling. BAD Compressor on my refrigerator. Thanks for all the comments. I did find out my batteries are 105ah a piece.

Hi BHOUSE2,
Thanks for letting us know, and glad you have it fixed.

P.S. Also a good piece of knowledge to know that a compressor can fail in a non-steady state.

Pretty sad they are putting residential fridges in RVs that require the inverter to be on (that uses power on its own) and equipping them with weak lead acid batteries that wont even run said fridge for 24hrs.

Winnebago is big enough to buy lithium batteries in bulk for pennies on the dollar
He does not have true deep-cycle batteries, they are start/ deep cycle, which means they are designed for boats.

I stand by my original statement even if he gets a new fridge. I draw 2.7 amps AC with mine and that converts to 27 amps DC plus losses. 420/30=14 hours of run time for the fridge alone. That is if it was running 100% of the time and then you only get 50% of those AH. So 7 hours. And the kicker is you have to charge them back up and LA does not take a charge like LifePo4. Then you have to watch the fluid levels in them, and they have to be outside in a vented area.
If you are going to boondock at all, and don't want to run a generator, you must have a massive solar array or lots of batteries(lifepo) or both.
