Hello,

I installed two shelves in our tall bathroom cabinet of our 2108 and I followed the lead of others here in making the supports free standing.

Been out twice and no issues with the supports moving.

I blew out the shelf on the bottom of the top cabinet with my portable solar panel :(
Rebuilt and replaced the shelf better and stronger than it ever was, a 6 million dollar shelf ;)
But I secured the upright supports to the wall and shelf.
Lasted 2 years until I must of hit a bump or swayed too much I guess.
Hope you also supported the lower shelf in the pic..,

Yep, all supported. 200 watt Portable Solar Panel lays on floor infront of cabinets. Slide closes over top.

I was worried about it traveling flat, thought it better on edge, plus it is in a padded orange case along with 50’ cable.
Won’t it slide front to back? I see the edge of the jacknife sofa traps it east/west…
Although concentrated weight on edge of the shelf at back wall ripped out about 10 staples…

Mine too is still in the padded case. It is also in the original box with styrofoam packing in the corners. It may move forward if you come to a hard stop. Being well protected I'm not worried.

Guess I no longer have the original package, and my renogy 200 watt panel did not come with a case so I bought a “Global storage, padded utility for jackery 100w solar panel” from Amazon. I may try that !
Nervous about storing in the slide out cabinet, under bed would be flat, and don’t want other stuff on top of it, I’ll have to see how it fit under the couch.
Thanks! Bill

My old 2106FBS had a space behind the couch and outer wall (for table). I slid the Renogy 200W Suitcase with padded case and original shipping box there.

Yes, my 2024 2108FBS has a storage there with flip down top. Came with an arm and swivel table for the couch. Did not like the table and found a 4x2x 4’tall folding table that we use when needed and fold to 2x2 x about 5” thick, which I store under the bed.
Lots of room in that rear couch compartment, what year is your new MM?
I try to keep heavier items in bathroom closet, like my Lysol/bath pearls mix for toilet treatment and other cleaners. I keep a Aero wash/wax kit back there, etc. and lighter towels etc up near the tongue to try to offset some of my weight in the basement.
Bill

Ok, thx! I guess you have more storage amidships with the dinette than I do with the couch. Different weight balance.
Bill

I have a similar model, a 2021 2108DS. I installed shelves in both closets on the sides of the Murphy bed, both cabinets underneath the bedside tables and the rear closet in the bathroom. I used Baltic Birch plywood, nail gun to assemble, supported by assembling in an upside- down u-shape. I hope pics demonstrate the build. They have been rock solid for over a year, including our current 3 month trip from Nevada to Alaska (and back, we hope!)
