Hello, We recently purchased a brand new 2023 Winnebago Adventure. We are having problems pitching the awning. It does not appear as if we can do a manual adjustment. We do have buttons inside the rig near the steps that say they are for pitching the awning. Unfortunately, that does not seem to work. And any thoughts for recommendations would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Chris.

Morning to you!
The joys of getting new stuff and not enough info! ARRGH! Are we supposed to just "know things"?
I rarely know enough so I might start out with checking to make sure you are using the right buttons! Sorry about that but the only folks who make mistakes are the folks who are trying to do something! So I try to make a few as I go along!
I see the switches and the labels look like a new guy might confuse them?
Tried these two and find nothing works? It seems like one could be trying the lower switches?

But if you are on the right switches, there are certainly other things to go wrong as well!
Things like blown fuses/tripped breakers might be an easy thing to chase down to check.
Or a trip back to the dealer? Bummer!
But we have some info on this drawing which tells us which electrical circuits are involved if you are of the mindset to DIY a chase to check a few things??

What's your next move if not on the easy path of using the wrong switch?
I like to find I've missed something if it means I don't have to work to fix it!

On the other hand?
Looking closer, I also see a different switch involved in awning it seems?
Not mentioned in the owners manual that I find, so no help there, but do you also find this switch as well as the first I looked over?

Maybe a quick call to the dealer would get the right ideas of how to do it if it is working correctly but we are missing some funky process of which to press first?

Hello Morich,

Thank you so much for your replies. I love you sense of humor. In your first thread, the diagram is exactly what we have when entering the coach. I checked the breakers and that does not seem to be the problem. Let me tell you finding the fuse was a joke in itself. The fuse is on the opposite side of the coach in the compartment below the driver seat. Let’s not put it with the fuses and breakers as you enter the couch.

I do not have the button in the cabinet below the sink. Where you have the?, I think I know what it’s referring to. We have five buttons in a row that control lights and retracting or extending the awning.

So I guess we’re taking a field trip to General RV. LOL

Oh, yes.! The big joy of owning!
I don't really find too much to make me smile , so I tend to put a spin on things!

So for switches, you have the first picture for pitch of the awning and then a different spot for extending/retract? You, there are some headscratchers in the plan!
I often wonder about how much it really saves to not write this stuff down in the manuals.
Any amount of writing and paper cost would seem to be cheap compared to all the calls and time to explain it to folks from all over.
In any work I've been around confusion costs about as much as anything can!

We should just carry on and not try to fix the big points!
Enjoy the trek and it'll all work out!

Manual Awning Pitch for 2022 Adventurer 29B

I have a 2022 Adventurer 29B and there is a manual way to pitch the awning. Look along the right side of each awning arm and see a series of holes and one button. Push the button in on the arm you want to adjust and slide it to a new hole. I’ve attached a couple pictures of one entire arm and a close up in the button / holes. Hopefully yours is similar.

We also bought a 2023 Adventurer with the Carefree Awning with Electric pitch. We have already had two motors replaced and one of them has already failed again. Take it to your dealer as a warranty issue. The motors take a month or more to come in, as there seems to be an order lag time. When it works it is a great system, when it dies not you can only put it in and out, there is no manual over ride. Good luck.

This sounds like the "in person" experience we need! After having the problems, perhaps you have ideas of where an awning control box might be found?
In my post number two above the circuit ID for the wiring is given and part of it refers to wiring to the control box. But I have not found that box!
Wire FFT goes from the switch to the box, but WHERE is the box?
Any ideas of the location? Maybe built into the awning?

With the reduced info provided on the post 2010 12VDC wiring , we have to hunt and peck for hints which makes it much harder to sort trouble.
With the reduced labor available and likely to get much worse, learning how to cope will become more important as time goes on.
