Assistance with Lithionics batteries

My FLX inverter shows Flt under Batt.

What does this mean?

I also have a beep coming from it, I believe every 60 seconds.

Check your solar controller's panel, make sure the B1 reading is normal, the beeping is most likely something is over-voltage and it's a warning, this happened to me last year and just burnt out my inverter.

B1 says 14.4 volts. All setting are per the Xantrex/GO Thread.

Something did happen the last couple of weeks though. I went in and battery "appeared" as 0 charge. I am not sure this is actually the case though as when I plugged in, it was at 100% in about 2 hours.

It is hard for me to truly locate the beep. I reset slide, tongue relay. Xantrex, battery. CO2 battery. Fridge, TV etc.

What the heck beeps in the camper every 60 sec?

It really seems like it is coming from the area where the 3 panels are by the door.

If you haven’t already, double check the big circuit breaker on the battery box. We had that breaker trip once and didn’t really notice much until the CO / propane detector started beeping.

Oh that too, my CO detector broke and was beeping none stop.

That is part of my start up procedure. Assuming it is the only one I know of right by the battery power (blue button).

Turn off battery. Turn off breaker. Wait a few minutes and power on the breaker and then the battery.

Beeping noise happens whether attached to shore or not. Pulled the CO detector near the entry also, tested it. Does not seem to be it either.

Thank you it worked!
Vine Vixen.. do everyone a favor and describe exactly what you did and what worked. We're glad it - whatever it was - worked for you. When you come back and post full details you'll be helping the person that comes along in the future with similar problems.

Lithionics Battey issues after firmware update

Good afternoon. I have a 2306BHS Flex with the Lithionics battery. Was looking thru the app to learn what does what. As I was in the app, a popup said that there is a firmware update so I installed the firmware. Battery has not worked since. I can go in the app and see the battery but cannot pull any information from the battery. In the terminal session, this is what is shown:

Setting baudrate
Trying to connect bootloader
Reading bootloader version

And then it stops.

I have been trading emails with Lithionics for a month. Nothing they have had me try gets the battery out of whatever state it is in. Blue light on power button has always been showing that the battery is charging and never goes out.

Now they want me to send them the battery (said I pay for shipping) so they can troubleshoot the problem.

Anyone had this issue or something similar.

Also cannot get the battery to turn off. Tried that many times.

I looked at your support ticket in our system, something went wrong with firmware update, which might be due to poor Bluetooth signal while updating firmware, the popup screen has a warning to keep the phone near battery while updating firmware. In most cases this can be recovered by trying again, but in a rare case the bootloader gets stuck and can't be recovered. I think your battery is one of those rare cases, so it needs to come back for factory service.

Finally some help

Thanks for your response to my issue. sounds like this is a known issue with a solution to the problem. Does the support line know about this?

Anyway, what is the best way to get this solution started? I am burning camping time.

As I said above, in such rare case of a stuck bootloader the battery cannot be fixed remotely, so you have to ship it back to the factory for service.
Please continue this support case using Lithionics support portal, this is not something that can be fixed in a public forum.

thanks again for your assistance

I did not mean, in my post, that this could be fixed in a message board. I am ready to send it back for the repair so I can get to use my camper back. Anyway, thanks for your assistance

Lithionics battery shuts down randomly

Hi Electric. We just purchased a new Ekko on MB chassis. Awesome unit. However we have been having this issue that happens randomly. The entire 12V system shuts down and then back on instantly. This happens in various conditions that we are monitoring to gather more stats. This happens only when we are no connected to shore power. Battery is fully charged or a little down (today for example was 13.3). Inverter can be on or off. It seems that it doesn t matter. No other major load is on. It happened with sunny day and also when dark. The app doesn t show any code in the status and everything seem to be normal.
A couple of other info: when this shutdown happens the awning lights go on, then off again quickly and the truma acquago monitor panel turns on.

Any suggestion?

@Antonio, first thing to do is to update your battery firmware, here is the link to the support page with instructions

If this doesn't resolve the issue, then try to capture the issue in a data log, using Lithionics app, then open a support ticket and attach the log there, so our support team can review it and advise on next steps.

Since your issue is sporadic you'd have to keep your phone with the app connected to the battery to continuously collect data, hoping to catch the power reset while logging data.

Here are some useful links:

How to collect battery data log

How to contact Lithionics support

Hope this helps.

Flx 2022 battery not charging

Hi,
Looking for some help as this week my 2022 Flx battery stopped charging and we have full sun. I updated the firmware thanks to your advice and yet when I push the on button I see the app change to charging but after 30 seconds it turns off and the button starts flashing blue and the app shows not charging (State: Off) The app shows a status code of 000834 but I can't find anywhere that tells me what that is. I've tried calling Lithionics multiple times with no response. Not sure what to try next. Any thoughts?

Last week it was charging but I would have to push the on button every morning as it went off during the night and in the morning I would find the button flashing. But now nothing seems to be charging.

Thank you!

Hi,

Sorry, our office still has no power after the hurricane, so support staff is unavailable. You can still submit a support ticket online using the link I posted above.
The code 000834 suggests that battery is deeply discharged, maybe solar is not providing enough power to overcome your daily consumption? Do you have ability to charge by any other means, such as shore power?
Our online support site has articles and videos explaining how to collect a data log from the app while observing the issue. Can you collect and export such log, or export a previous log when you observed the issue, so we can see all voltages and charge/discharge currents at the time when it happens?

Thank you! Shore power got it out of the 00834 status and charged it up to 91%. I then unplugged it and the only thing running overnight was the fridge and the standard loads. This morning it was at 10%. Doesn't that seem a heavy drain for just the standard items like fridge? Or is this normal and I have to charge it up every morning? Solar doesn't seem to be getting it out of 10% range so will plug back in. Thanks for your help. I did put in a ticket and attachments of the log which I'm attaching here if that helps. Really appreciate your help! Preparing for a cross-country trip and would like to be off shore power for a day at least and have the fridge stay cold.

Why did you stop at 91%? Please charge using shore power until 100%, even if it seems stuck at 99% for a long time. SOC is not reliable until syncronized by full charge voltage at 100%, so when you saw 91% it probably wasn't actually 91% but much lower, hence dropping to 10% overnight. SOC tracking has been massively improved in the latest firmware, but it still needs occasional sync to 100% by a full charge to combat SOC drift due to possible storage time where SOC is not being actively tracked. There is a support article explaining SOC drift if you want to learn more.
