We had a very annoying, high pitched squeek that we just couldn't shake. We determined it must be between the drivers seat and the kitchen sink. We all took turns looking for it on and off, but no luck. Finally, after about 900 miles of driving with it, my hubby had me take over driving while he hunted it down. Turns out the screws on the a/c cover was loose. Chad tightened them up and finally- no more squeek !!

Good detective work! I have one next to the passenger front seat and we think it is in the seat belt mechanism but I have yet to be able to resolve it. I've tightened every screw I can find anywhere near the noise to no avail.

Gary,

We had a squeak in our passenger's seat belt mount for the whole 6 years we owned our prior Journey. It was annoying. I never had the opportunity to have someone else drive the coach to allow me to debug the squeak.

At one point I thought I had it, as a screw didn't go thru 2 layers of plastic. But upon this repair, the squeak reocurred.

If I could only get my wife to drive.....

Don:

I thought I might just give the whole assembly a good dose of silicone spray to see if the squeek abates...at least that will confirm the seat belt assembly is the culprit.

Reference anoying noise from pax seat belt mechanism, i thought that was where mine was coming from until I checked the rear view mirror. Get way forward and check down low just behind the right wheel. My almost new coach had a delamination of the exterior skin molding which allowed it to rattle against the body. Lacking a proper dealer fix a one inch piece of double faced tape shut things up for a bit.
