Animated Ads

I know that advertising revenue is likely the life blood for this site. However, please avoid placing ads that have animation in them. I have turned off the right hand column in iRV2 because I am constantly waiting for the forums to load while the screen tells me that the site is waiting for "long running scripts". Please, please consider not entertaining those types of ads on this site.

We did have an issue where all the supporting vendors were creating more and more distracting ads. I had to amend the specifications so that they would be less blinky. Those sponsoring vendor ads are usually based on demand (from vendors) which is most often at the larger sites. Seeing as Google doesn't even know this site exists yet, it's still small and we will probably not have any sponsoring vendors for a while. When we do I will see what I can do to make them less distracting.

Thanks for the reply. It's not so much the distraction as it is the delay in getting the sites to load due to the long running scripts. I appreciate your efforts.
