I have a 7.5 gen on my journey.Should it run both of the ac units when I am running off the gen? I just happen to check the other day,but the one on the drivers side was not working. THanks

Hi Sewerdog, Your 7.5 should run both easily. You may have a bad unit... You need to say your Journey's year and A/C type for more help..

ITs a 2004 with basement air.Iam not sure on the make and model.I will get back with u all after work where I can take a look and make sure. THanks

sewerdog, the basement air unit is on the passenger side next to the engine. The fans on the drivers side next to the engine are for the dash A/C condenser unit.

Sewerdog, There is a lot posted on basement air systems on this forum..
I hope that you can find all your answers there.. It/they helped me a lot!
I have the same year and model that you have feel free to email me if
you have any questions...

Since you have a basement a/c, there is no left/right a/c. But if you are talking about the vents in the ceiling, and you're not getting much air flow from the drivers side, then the problem is probably a major leak in the duct work in the rear of the coach. There is a big "Y" that splits the air to driver and passenger side.

One member "FIRE UP" has a good photo of what the venting looks like with the rear cap off on a coach like yours. Here's a thread with the pics:

Here's a link where you can download a the removal procedure I wrote many years ago. It makes it pretty straight forward to pull the Basement A/C if you need to get at it in the future.

Thanks but i dont have a problem.Mine works fine i thought that both sides of the ac units where suppose to work with just the unit inside the motor home work. I understand now that one side runs up front of the m.h THanks again!
