Any opinions as to which service is better.
Response time, dependability, etc.
We own a Class A - looking for the best for the money.

I have had great service with coach net

Hi ...
I have only needed to use it twice but both times coach net was right there and took care of us with an emphasis on safety. .. I won't go anywhere else i don't believe.

I GLADLY gave up AAA to get Good Sam Roadside Assistance.

I would suggest going with a dedicated RV roadside assistance like Coachnet or GoodSam. AAA has different levels of service that cause confusion and can end up with lots of frustration. Good company but they don't think RVs...

Many areas of the country has AAA providers refusing to help stranded RV'ers. They might be fine in one area or another, but there are huge gaps in their coverage. Based on my reading, plus my brother had AAA for a while.

I've had both GS and Coachnet and Coachnet is by far the best one out there.

FWIW, I neededa tow last month when my radiator gave up the ghost. I have Coach Net and they were easy to work with. Found me a tow company and an appointment at a repair facility. They paid the entire tow bill which was almost 1k The tow truck driver said NEVER EVER get AAA as they, the towing companies, will refuse their requests due to AAA trying to negotiate pricing. He recommended Good Sams or CoachNet.

Absolutely Coach-Net! In addition to the above comments, don't forget Coach-Net provides 24 hr techinal assistance by phone. Taking with a tech who knows your coach can often help you work through something and avoid having to wait for Roadside service. I believe Good Sam now provides that also. AND, they cover your other vehicles as well.

Yesterday I called the CoachNet 24hr. tech line and in a few minutes a tech called me back. We discussed the electrical issue I had in the campground and discovered it was a finicky 12v shutoff switch.

My wife was alone once and she called them when the fridge stopped working. They talked her through resetting the safety switch with a magnet in the outside compartment.

We love CoachNet! Have had it for 5 years of full-timing. Only used it 3 or 4 times and never for a roadside problem or flat tire. All have been tech questions. One time they sent a mobile tech to reset my air switch for filling the airbags. We had to pay for repair of course but finding the service and arranging for the visit was super easy.

Unless it's changed, AAA used to have monitary and distance limitations that made them unsuitable for RV coverage. That's why we changed (to Good Sam at the time, now Coach Net).

Coach Net knows motor homes, had them for years with our big coaches, used them once in St Louis, they towed us extra miles to the safer west side of the city.

The people at Coach Net know what they're doing. The tech support has found me mobile techs when an internet search showed nothing. Plus they are fast to dispatch and always follow up with me after service is completed to make sure I am happy.

When I had a car AAA was very useful, but though Some areas covered RV's as well with roadside.. others did not. Coachnet, on the other hand did. So does Good Sam's roadside assistance.

I do not know if AAA now covers RV's nation wide.

I have used coach-net for 10 years and they have helped me though a tire blowout and several technical issues.

They know RV's and in the event of needing a tow they will send the proper people. Towing an RV is much more complicated than towing a car.

I have never had Good Sam. They drive me crazy with all the mail they send!

That is dangerous. The reason the safety switch tripped was because it detected overheating in the boiler tube. Strange C-N would tell her to use that.

I've had both GS and Coachnet and Coachnet is by far the best one out there.

I had a little tire mishap in St. Louis two months ago and I have AAA RV coverage. I let my GS lapse.

I called AAA (Auto Club of So. California) and was told that they don't "service" out of California and tows, etc. were on a "reimbursement basis".

I am going to sign up with Coachnet next month.

I have had both, and my choice is Coach-Net ...no contest. AAA takes forever to respond sometimes (or not at all for RVs in some parts of the country). Coach-Net has a tech familiar with your coach call you, and can sometimes talk you through the problem. If not, they can send the necessary assistance.

Not in my experience ...AAA was a dud no matter where even for a car.
