Hello Everyone. I am new to this forum but not new to RVs. We have a 2018 orange and black 2455BHS Minnie Winnie. We love it! We bought our Minnie aka "Spookley" brand new after exiting the popup world. I enjoy working on the camper and as you probably know it there is always something.

So, trying this forum hoping there is some attention to towables. I look forward to learning as well as contributing.

Hi JT,
I just have to ask why you named your 2018 2455BHS "Spookley?" I guess with the orange color, it must a reference to pumpkins? Certainly a very generous interior on that model.
We have heard up here in Washington that Texas is the greatest place on earth; is that true? Certainly, anywhere but South Bend, Washington would be drier.
Welcome to the Forum.

OP, welcome to the forum.

Texas has a lot going for it, but it can be quite the adjustment if you're coming from the Pacific Northwest. There is very little public land here for recreation (~3% of the state). The summers are very hot and long. You'll also undoubtedly get a good laugh out of what the locals consider "waterfalls." :D

Eagle 5- You are pretty close on the name. My kids named it given orange and black are popular Halloween colors. So, Spookley it is. As far as Texas is concerned, I think you love it or hate it. Where it is diverse in topography (desert, hill country, grass plains, canyons, coastline) it lacks in public space (as backtrack points out). I was born and raised here. From what I have seen of it, the Pacific NW is way nicer than Texas.

On some years, South Bend has 100" of rain, and some of it oh so slowly. I remember in 1967 when we had three nice days for the entire year when you could look-up and see only blue sky. Still, it is nice. Perhaps that is why the South Bend motto is "We Shall Have No Fungus Among Gus"
Of course, we have more time this way to watch some of the great old movies.
Thanks, Eagle5

We moved down to Texas from Anchorage Alaska. It was quite the adjustment. I miss the scenery and the cooler climate. My wife, not so much. She remembers the sometimes dreary summers and always long winters.

Welcome aboard JT. There are a few of us here with Minnies and a bunch with Micro Minnies. Much more active here for our towables than anywhere else I've found.

Thank you, Old Navy. I had joined here when we first got our minnie but at that time the site seemed oriented around motor homes. There is a facebook group that is helpful but I am tired of fbook these days. Looks like some good technical discussions here and I do look forward to digging in as necessary. Take care and have a great weekend. JT.
