Hi - I hope everyone is camping happily...

Has anyone had to replace their step controller on a late model View / Navion?

The Kwikee steps on our '21 View go by the series name of "Revolution".

The Revolution series controller has a different part number than the common controller that has preceded it for decades.

Amazon has dozens of options for controllers for the Kwikee legacy step controllers series 22 through 47 (all with the same part number and inexpensive), but only one option for the Revolution series controller (new part number, only available from Lippert at a huge cost). My controller and all wiring looks identical to all of the Amazon options...

Has anyone had to replace their step controller on a late model View / Navion, and do you know if the new part number is really associated with a new part, or is it just a new part number for commercial purposes?

Has anyone tried the part number 909510000 controller (from Amazon) instead of the 1510000172 controller (only available from Lippert) on their late model View / Navion Revolution series steps?

Thanks for the help.

Cheers,

I used item # LC363980 from Etrailer on 2024 Winnebago Vita. Did much research and seemed like best option. Had to install jump wire for parking brake lockout as per phone conversation with tech. Worked fine after that. Have since sold camper .

Hi - Thanks for the inputs.

I ended up taking a deep breath and buying the replacement controller recommended for my Revolution series steps. It was about five times the cost of one of the legacy knock-off controllers I was hoping to make work, but in the end I elected to go with the one I knew for sure would do the job.

For those who have not yet had to troubleshoot Kwikee steps, buying the four pin connector test harness from Lippert is a good idea. The troubleshooting steps in the Kwikee owners manual are easy to follow - I chose to test the motor first, then the chassis side inputs, and then used the four pin connector test harness to isolate the controller. It was pretty easy to see that the controller was the issue.

Cheers,
