A member’s new 2026 View 24T showed solar as “inactive” on the Winnebago Connect panel, and reseating a loose battery-box connection did not resolve it. With the dealer 125 miles away and the manuals offering little location guidance, the member asked where to find the solar controller. Another member identified its location as behind a panel behind the table and supplied reference images.

Members suggested checking controller connections and ensuring the rooftop panels were plugged...

When we took delivery of our 2026, 24T we noted that the Solar was listed as "inactive" on the win connect panel. Time was an issue, so we could not pursue the problem at the dealer. Plus, I had minimal confidence in the "tech's" knowledge about solar. So, I can't figure out where the solar controller is located on the unit. I did find a loose connection in the battery box wiring, but made no difference once seated properly. Any idea where the controller is located?? Im pretty much crawling through the unit myself to fix things I can as the dealer is 125 miles away. The Winnie owners manual doesn't really tell you squat about the solar system, nd the wiring diagram does not give any reference to locations. Having the time of my life!!

Yes, good time to get to know the interactive parts catalog for finding those hidden items!
It's a funky mess to learn to drive and may make you want to never go there again but it can be great at other times! Here to choose your RV:
On to the 24T:
Electrical:
Where we sometimes have to guess if an item is in 110AC or 12VDC?
But 12VDC works for solar:
At this point there are two ways to go, but first get the 3D drawing if it comes up 2D. Click on the 2d/3d to change the type drawing. No idea of the value of the 2D??
Then if you spot the item, click on it on the drawing to pop up the item in the parts list at right.
But since you are searching for it, maybe scroll the list for some item that looks like solar controller?
I went to item 71 to get this:

Sometimes in it's own funky/skunky way it pops to a zoomed view. Other times it only lights in yellow but we can use the scroll button to move in/out. Looks well buried from here, but maybe youi find other things on the trip?

I still have mixed feelings about the sytem but it has it's good points? If it does weird things, it is not always your fault!
See how that new toy works!

Loose plug on bottom?

I'm afraid much of this is quickly getting beyond what we can deal with if not having a ton of really expensive equipment to monitor the digital signals? We were getting there when I retired from my main first job! We were getting one testset for the crew but finding who had the thing was getting to be a nuisance that I stopped dealing with.
As an added thought? Have you found the "installation" drawings for more the physical location of things? info in a different way with added info on wiring circuits? Finding the circuit ID and then looking it up on the wire ID list can lead to sorting out some suspects!
Not gone there on the solid state items many times as I know I will be frustrated on lack of equipment!

Possible help on how Wnn does drawing info?
On install drawings, you can sort down to detail drawing and find wire or circuit ID!

Wire/circuit ID but also note someof the notes at bottom left can be critical at times!
Best of luck on the trek as this looks DEEEPP!

The Solar Controller in your "T" is behind a panel behind the Table. There are discussions on reaching it over on the Facebook group for Winnebago Connect Equipped V/Ns.

Here's some images from those discussions:

You should also take a look at the roof to insure that the panels are plugged into the 3-port MC4 input. Here's a photo of my 2026R roof showing the port. It should be the same on the T.

Wow!!! This is excellent information and I really appreciate the time it took for you to put all this together. I spent over 10 years on the Tiffin forum and never got answers this concise to a problem I was chasing.
Thank you,
Mike

One of the better ways we can dig out some of the hints they give us is the "wire identification list" here:
Not the best as it is posted as it is not "searchable" using ctrl and F! But I find I can run it through Adobe and make it searchable on my machine. However when I try to pass it along, it fails! So it gives good info but takes lots of scrolling as it is given to us?? Bummer!
Some of the info from the install drawings that give the wire/circuit ID are these:
aagz.jpg

So we can find that is an 8 gauge green wire that should have ID stamped on it as the last few of a long string of info . That wire goes from the controller to the roof port!
And then there is this for AGT! Hint that there is a fuse involved may help big time?
But the bigger help may be guessing at what a wire may do and also where the other end might be found?

If it were posted as searchable, it would be great but we have to do what we have to do! Not my field to figure a cure and that falls to grandchildren to help me! Not one of the things I covered in school, for sure!
Small note on roof top is that you do have a different RV and the locations and equipment are different, but easy enough to spot once up there!
