2026 Micro Minnie through-storage door hinges?

I have a 2026 Micro Minnie still in winter storage and while showing the unit to our son found the outer storage door was loose. I discovered that the hinges on the thru storage doors are nailed in, not screwed. We haven’t even had it out yet, the nails came loose on the trip home from the dealer. I plan to replace the nails with screws as soon as I can determine there is something there to screw into, but I’m certainly interested in the wisdom and experience of this group.

You sure they are nails and not rivets? Maybe you are seeing round smooth heads and mistaking them?

I hadn’t considered rivets. It’s a good suggestion, thank you. (What I came here for.) The heads do not have the “dimple” that I’m familiar with for the pop rivets I’ve worked with previously. Either way the hinge is very loose, so when I access the unit from storage I plan to pull one, determine the fastener type and replace.
