2025 Micro Minnie 2108FBS tongue electrical box?

Bill, it looks like a good chunk of the wires are coming from the left. You could mount the new box to the left to pick up wire length.

Actually the frame member is just out of frame on the left. That will work if I decide to ditch the terminal strip. Thx! Bill

Aaahhh I think they are resettable breakers manual or auto is tbd.
I guess I can replace the strip with jumpers, but have to figure a mounting method, the hot connection doubles as the mounting. Don’t want them bouncing around and shorting…
Bill

Ahh, thanks!
Trailer is currently in storage, so a project for the spring!
Bill

Yes, that is my plan bcborn!
I hadn’t thought of eliminating the terminal strip, I think all the connections are ring terminals, and not much wire length to recrimp - although any that I can, I will using exterior grade crimp terminals.
In the picture the 4 red items appear to be covers, not resettable breakers/fuse.
Thx! Bill
On my 2023, it looks like I can shift everything left if I need additional wire

Yes, likely can shift some terms over. Now past warranty, but I did not get a chance to complete the work before storage, which is done offsite indoors (to the tune of $300 per month)

This is the current wiring of my terminal strip. It is 4" from the crossmember to the left, so lots of room to move if need be. All my wires come from the left except the red solar controller wire coming down from the passthru. It has a little room to go left too.

Terminal strip is 7 1/2" long.

A box that's 7 3/4 x 3" inside will fit everything nicely. May have to drill your own entry points and seal them afterwards.

The addition of the terminal strip enclosure is complete. As my Lithium Battery is inside the trailer, the wiring was altered to kill the trailer 99% with the battery disconnect.

Very nice job! I may buy that box as backup before I start my project in the spring.
As a machine design engineer of 40+ yrs, it Kills me just thinking of those corroded connections, shameful OEM design!

It's interesting how on older MM the big wire from the battery goes through a 30A mini breaker and then to the bus. On our 2024 FLX, the wire from the battery is connected directly to the bus.

The FLX breaker in the diagram is a big switch type mounted in the basement on the wall that surrounds the battery and the Xantrex. It's a much higher amperage breaker.

On a non FLX there is a battery switch and not a FLX Breaker. The Power Center and Monitor panel are wired the same by-passing all mini breakers. Everything else is fused.

Maybe some one can tell us the purpose for the large FLX Breaker used on an FLX rather than a Battery Disconnect. Would the purpose of the larger breaker here be for the Xantrex

I think I figured it out. The 30A mini breaker with manual reset is fine for Micro Minnies. It disconnects the battery from the 12v system. The FLX has a 320 A/h battery and a 3000 watt inverter, thus requiring a more substantial breaker (250A). The 4 mini breakers on the FLX A-frame are all auto reset. That is why the battery input goes directly to the bus.

My trailer being a Non FLX and upgraded to a 300AH Lithium and a 2000 watt inverter I had to add additional fuses (250a - Inverter, 60a - Victron 100/50 for 600 watts of roof solar), separate from the mini breakers on the tongue.

Here's my new breaker box that will replace the silly mini breakers mounted on the frame. Now I have to figure out where to mount it.

This has been such an issue for everyone, I don't know why Winnebago has not figured this one out.

Our old 2017 had the wiring in an metal electrical box, contained from the elements.

They have taken a step backwards.

Nice work! I used similar breakers (Buss) on my solar system. I have the box to enclose the existing stuff and ready to do the work. If the cheapie stuff fails I guess I will copy your design!
