The owner of a 2023 Micro Minnie 2108FBS could not get the water heater to fire or make any solenoid or ignition sounds, despite having propane tanks that should be full, the bypass valve set to supply, and the reset button checked. Members suggested first verifying propane flow by lighting the stove or furnace, then checking whether 12V power is reaching the water heater control box because nothing will operate without it.

Several members leaned toward an electrical or control issue if...

Ive had quite a few RVs, So I know how things get hidden in weird places. Just picked up a 2023 Mini Winnie 2108 FPS and can't get the water heater to fire up. I've got two tanks on it that should be full. The previous owner only used it four times and only for the shower. I've got the bypass valve pointed at the supply and I've looked for another shut-off valve anywhere on the rig because I'm getting no sound of the solenoid or flame under the water heater. I checked the reset button. I can't figure out why this water heater is not coming on. Any help would be appreciated

Quick check for the supply turned off would be to check the stove or furnace. If they light, it seems unlikely to be the supply valve, etc.
Just based on what I've seen, I would guess it more likeluy an electrical problem with getting the water heater to light.
Rv tend to set for too long between uses and that can often lead to corrosion on small points like the little clips where power gets connected to things like the board or gas solenoid connections.
I might go for finding the brand and model of water heater and then a manual with troubleshooting flow charts to follow. That likely gives you points to check for power getting first to the heater and also to get through the board, etc. to the gas solenoid to tell it to open!

Just trying to help.. you don’t have a “Mini Winnie 2108 FPS” you have a 2023 Micro Minnie 2108FBS.

First, the Minnie ( not Mini) Winnie is a a Class C motorhome, not a travel trailer like you have and next the 2108FBS (not FPS) is a Micro Minnie floor plan.

I know lots of folks get in a habit of calling all Winnebagos “Mini Winnies” but since there is no such thing as a “Mini Winnie 2108 FPS” it’s pretty important to get the info about your travel Trailer correct.

Hope this helps.

One of the problems with working the trailer group is how little online info we find posted. That leads to us not knowing which water heater you have. If you can locate any info to tell us which brand and model, we can often dig out some drawings, manuals and such to better guide us to where to sort the question.
got any info of that sort on hand?

Leave the water heater door open and see if it lights. You should see the spark from the ignition light the burner. If no spark it is electrical issue.
If it runs with the door open it is likely air flow problem, look for bug nests and such in the burner tube.

I am not familiar with your rig but, does the water heater run on propane and/or AC power and is not working on either?

We had a Jayco class C motorhome that had the same issue. There is a safety resistor (thermistor) that is designed to melt in an overheat situation, to prevent the water heater from running. This resistor is typically mounted on a wire that has a connection on each end. Sometimes this wire hangs loose, too close to the burner on the water heater. We had to replace that thermistor 3 times on the same trip until I repositioned the wire, away from the burner.

It could be the propane regulator? Check your stove to see if it lights up. Larry 2014 Reyo P
