Our skylight above shower is leaking from outside. I would like to self perform this repair. I will remove skylight and all existing patch material. What brand of roof patch should I use to re install?

Is it broken? Typically it is put on with a bed of Butyl tape and then the edges and screws are covered with Dicor, or other products specifically for the type of roof you have. fiberglass or rubber (EPDM or TPO) On rigid roofs I have used a 100% silicon that is very fluid and self levels. It looks great but does not have the strong bond of the others. Be sure to clean and prep the area well. Follow the instructions for whichever you choose to use.

Thanks for the response. It is not broken. Leaking on the rear corner closest to the middle of roof. Roof is one piece rubber.

If it is not broken then usually you can clean the area well and put more sealant on it. Taking it completely off will be a task. Be careful with the rubber roof. Most of the time the stuff doesn't just peel off nicely.

Finally had a sunny day to investigate this leak. It appears some poor workmanship and quality control was lacking the day this skylight was in installed at the factory. Skylight was not seated properly on the roof, and the lip of skylight was riding up on the roof cap. Also, the critical screw on the corner was stripped, allowing the skylight to pop out further. This is a temporary fix, until I have more time to reset entire skylight.
