Took View into local dealer for recall inspections. After inspections were completed, I knew it would take 2 to 3 weeks for recall kits to arrive. Went to retrieve MH upon arrival I was informed by service Mrg that cabin entry door latches didn’t work. 🤔
Question, has anyone with (2022 or older) model View or Navion had problems with these latches. Was recently on 8 day trip with no problem. Door didn’t come open on way to dealer. Tech said as he drove it into shop & door flew open. The dealer gave options of replacing latches or possibly the entire door. Thanks for any insight.

I have to always start out with the idea that I have certainly not see all the things that CAN happen.
But it does bring some questions why a door that has been fine all the way to a shop would sudden come open if we look at what that means. I find many RV doors are never too easy to get open as then tend to drag or not quite fit all that well. How did the door seem to work before going to the shop? Was it one that tended to open real easy or is it more likey you have to lean ion it pretty hard?
Only way I see for a side door to fly open is a REALLY hard stop.
Perhaps just my cynical side but I might want to look at that door myself before paying for repairs.
Guess I'm just getting to a point that I have little trust in anybody when money is involved! From what I have seen the RV door is more likely to fail when the latch breaks and we can't get it open from the outside! Replacing the door has never been suggested as an option!

What style door does the 2021 have? is it the new regular style door that is currently on the 2026-2027 models, or the aircraft style door they used for a couple of years. I have the aircraft style door and if that's the same as yours, it's likely an issue with the inner plastic piece crossing over a metal tab. If so that could be caused by a tech opening the door from the inside at the same time someone grabs the handle from the outside. It's a known problem on that style of door.
I had it happen on the road and was able to fix it with limited tools. search this forum, there is a couple of great write-ups on how to correct it, if that's the issue.

Morich,
Took your advice & looked at door myself. Took off panel to expose entire upper & lower latches. One concern was this panel had been removed before. One of grommets holding panel on had head snapped off. Found problem, small screw holding in a plastic bushing was backed out, not allowing cam that works bottom latch, to function. Had to remove center mechanism to be able to get bushing & cam back in place & screw reset. (With locktite) Still have my concerns, & didn’t have to pay $150 an hour + parts. Both latches working fine at this time. Inside release handle still may need a little TLC as well. Next project. Thanks Morich for your support.

I don't know which latch that is, but before replacing it I'd try dry lube. On my 2019 trailer latch it was just the opposite problem--the door was hard to close--needed to be slammed. Dry lube fixed the problem long term. I have the Schwintech slide on my trailer and used the same lube called for on that.
