The owner asked whether the batteries in a 2019 Sprinter View 24J would charge with the solar panels covered while plugged into 110-volt shore power, then clarified they meant the house batteries. Members said yes, ordinarily, provided the charging system has not been significantly modified and the necessary switches and breakers are on.

One member identified the battery disconnect, main breaker, and converter breaker as items to check, and warned that the disconnect could prevent...

First let’s be sure what battery you’re talking about. “Coach Batteries” are another name for House Batteries. But some call Chassis batteries by that name. I’m assuming you mean House batteries not Chassis batteries.

oops good catch, mis read that one.

Ordinarily, yes. But you have given no info on the system whatsoever. And an aftermarket solar setup done by the guy down the street could introduce many factors.

Simple answer is, "YES" but that assumes some small points that need to be checked. One is that there have not been major changes made from when built. Second item is to make sure switches are left correct as there are some tricks built in.
One is top make sure the power can get from the cord to the converter, that means the battery disconnect switch has to be on, the main breaker at the load center top is on, as well as the bottom one that feeds AC out to the converter. You may be able to hear the hum from the converter?

One way to verify the converter is working if you are in a semi-quiet place is really easy. The converter is right behind the load center breakers, so if you flip the converter breaker on/off while you listen for the hum, that can tell you when the converter is working or dead? The battery disconnect switch does cut off the path from the converter to the batteries but not the path from batteries to loads at the fuses!
WARNING!
Disconnect WILL cut off charging but leave loads to kill the batteries!
