In a heavy rain I get a small amount of water leaking through the light in the headliner above the windshield. I have read that the clearance marker lights can leak. So I removed them and there was only a section where the wires went through the body that could leak. Didn't look great but was dirty, so I cleaned out and put silicone and the went ahead and siliconed the rest of the light fixture on the outside.
I have the cab over bed. photo for reference.
My Question: Is there anywhere else that a leak could make it to the front of the RV and enter the cabin at the lights console above windsheild?
Thanks

Yes, there are a number of seams in the front cap that can leak. It’s difficult to determine exactly where the leak is because water can get in and then travel some distance away to where you see evidence of the leak.

All seams should be thoroughly checked and resealed, not just marker lights. A good RV service tech can even run a pressurized test to find leaks from the inside out. But those many times reveal many ares of potential leaks.

I have a 2014 Itasca Navion. I had leaking into the lights at the top of the windshield. A service tech at the Lighthen (sp) center told me that water could drain from the awning to the windshield area due to a pinhole opening at that end of the awning. I sealed the corner of the awning nearest the passenger door with a silicone based sealer and have never had a bit of trouble with leaking there again. Hope this helps
