If you're asking about the Norcold 3150 model, and referring to the fridge not switching to 12V from either AC or LPG while set to Auto...
Our 2016 View 24V has the same issue. It turns out that the Winnie owners manual for our model year is incorrect. The earlier version of the 3150 does indeed switch to 12V when set to Auto.
The manual was updated for later model years at some point. I do recall a thread on this site that verifies this. I think searching Norcold 3150 would bring up the post.
I had my local RV shop look into the issue some time ago and they were able to get confirmation from Norcold that the 2016 (and later) Norcold 3150 does not switch to 12V automatically.
With the motor running, we will manually switch to 12V for travel and then switch to AC or LPG when stopped. A pain to do but it works. We had noticed that on windy travel days the fridge would struggle to stay lit on LPG.
