How to remove this slide/ glide dinette, IMO it's a design flaw, as it gets in the way when slides are closed.

I think I may have the same set up on our 2016 38Q and it gives us fits. Currently seems jammed and I am unable to budge it forward or back at all. The upper release mechanism is not the problem as it releases fine. Something going on with the uppper or lower track. I want to take it apart to bird dog the problem but the only way I can see to get to it is to start removing wooden cabinetry.

Sorry you are having issues. We had a 2017 Adventurer 37F and never had any trouble with the sliding table. So, I never tried to suss out it's construction. I do know my local RV repair shop totally rebuilt that cabinet with drawers for one of their customers, but that was probably 6 years ago. They showed it to me one day, proud of their work. So, it seems this is a project others have taken up.

We always just squeezed by the table when the slides were in.

Thanks for the follow up Creativepart. Normally we just leave the slideing table alone, but we've needed more access to the cabinets below thus requiring more tabke movement to allow the cabinet doors to clear the supporting arm. I've looked through the schematics on Winnebago Parts and they don't give me the detail I need to see how it all comes together.

We are going to remove the table and either attach it to a hinge or take it off all together and buy a small folding table. My husband has lots of ideas. Today he is looking at putting a small fireplace in the table location. Most of the ones we have looked at are only 9" deep and we have 11" to work with.

Awesome idea! please give updates and pictures on how to remove this table.

One thing to think about is ventilation around any built in fireplace. Our 38Q came with a built in fireplace and we very much utilized and enjoyed it over the years, About 2-3 years ago the first fireplace gave up the ghost and I replaced it with a similar one I bought on Amazon. It works every bit as well. However both fireplaces have had difficulty with apparent lack of ventilation around and behind the unit based on the cabinetry designed and set by Winnebago. Ours seems to overheat the control board after about 45 minutes as there is no ventilation behind the unit, causing it to throw a regular E3 code and shut down. To restart the heater element one must cycle the circuit breaker to get it going again which works quickly , but it is a pain to get to our circuit breaker box. I've debated opening up the cabinetry by cutting a good sized ventilation hole and possibly adding a small circulating fan to get air into the rear. All that said I just can't bring myself to cut a hole in that good looking cabintry surrounding the fireplace.
