How to remove this slide/ glide dinette, IMO it's a design flaw, as it gets in the way when slides are closed.
Awesome idea! please give updates and pictures on how to remove this table. We are going to remove the table and either attach it to a hinge or take it off all together and buy a small folding table. My husband has lots of ideas. Today he is looking at putting a small fireplace in the table location. Most of the ones we have looked at are only 9" deep and we have 11" to work with.
One thing to think about is ventilation around any built in fireplace. Our 38Q came with a built in fireplace and we very much utilized and enjoyed it over the years, About 2-3 years ago the first fireplace gave up the ghost and I replaced it with a similar one I bought on Amazon. It works every bit as well. However both fireplaces have had difficulty with apparent lack of ventilation around and behind the unit based on the cabinetry designed and set by Winnebago. Ours seems to overheat the control board after about 45 minutes as there is no ventilation behind the unit, causing it to throw a regular E3 code and shut down. To restart the heater element one must cycle the circuit breaker to get it going again which works quickly , but it is a pain to get to our circuit breaker box. I've debated opening up the cabinetry by cutting a good sized ventilation hole and possibly adding a small circulating fan to get air into the rear. All that said I just can't bring myself to cut a hole in that good looking cabintry surrounding the fireplace. We are going to remove the table and either attach it to a hinge or take it off all together and buy a small folding table.
