2016 Forza 34T U Shaped Sofa Extension Locks?

I am looking for some guidance concerning the locks on the U-shaped couch in my 2016 Forza 34T. When driving, the extension pieces will not lock and decide to come out with a turn. Today I got into the process of trying to fix it but had zero success. I can see where they lock in the open position but see nothing to hold it in the closed position.

After getting my body into positions that a 71-year-old should not be trying. I gave up and asked Google AI for some help. Not much help there either. I was really hoping to find a diagram or video showing how to make the repair, or at least to show me what I am looking for.

My ask of the forum…. Has anyone tackled this problem before? If so, can you share your thoughts? Or send me in the right direction to get information?

Is the hand latch moving the locking piece . Might spray silicone.

Yes, it is moving it but I sprayed it anyway. I have been working on this off and on for the last week. I did find what it is supposed to catch to lock on. There is a metal post that when the latch is open and you push it to close it will trip the latch and lock on it. All that is good, but now I have them both locked and can't get them to open! I will be trying other ways to get back at it to free it up.

We removed our coach and put in a love sack couch . May have of saved that mechanism. . Traveling now but will check Sept

I was able to get it unlocked by lifting further than I had previously. At this point, all is good. I am curious as to how you like the love sack couch? I had looked at them online but never went any further. Thanks for the help.

We had the pealing upholstery on ours . Were going to reupholster it , but too much work for wife as she has done before . The t couch was well put together and comes apart by sections . . Love sac had a couch that filled the space . Never needed table as we eat off TV trays or outside .
