I have been towing a 2003 Tracker 4 door but have a 2010 Jeep Liberty that weighs in at 4200 pounds. Is anyone out there towing something in the Jeep weight range and how does your rig handle it on the flat and what about climbing hills? Thanks for input...

Jeeps are one of the most popular Toads and should not be a problem for your V10 F53 chassis.

I have a 2017 Adventurer with the V10 and have towed two different 4200-4400 vehicles with zero issues. Sure there’s some concern with 12,000’ mountain passes, but we take those in stride… slowly (45 mph) but without any serious issues.

I guess I will hook it up and take for a spin and see how it feels. When I had the big DP I never gave much thought to what I had on back. Going down to 30 foot and gas has been a learning curve as I forgot what my old gas rigs were like..thank you for your input...

Slightly different set-up from yours, but we have a 27' Vista and tow a Jeep Wrangler. Towed it 6k miles all over the West and into the Canadian Rockies without a single issue; hardly knew it was back there.

I also have a Vista 27N and tow a Jeep Wrangler. It’s a little more powerful engine now than yours, but I don’t even know the jeeps there most of the time. just returned from 9000 foot passes in the eastern Sierra and maintaining 50 was not a problem. The attached picture says it all.

We tow a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is close to the 5K lb limit, but doesn't cause any problems with our 2020 Vista 29V. Also tow a flat trailer with the race car which is also around 5K, but only has the mechanical braking surge system. That's more noticeable when stopping.

Get a good braking system, ours is wired in permanently, and adjust to make it feel like the car isn't either pushing or pulling during normal stops.
