2015 Vista LX 27N passenger slide seal and binding

Good morning,
I have a 2015 27n lx and my passenger side slide would not come out last night after we got home from a 2 week trip. I went out this morning and ground a bulb seal ( about 18” long) on the rear of the slide( bedroom) laying loose but connected going up the side. Should I have a build seal across the bottom? It has the 2 wiper seals and never has leaked.

I moved some stuff around in the bottom bays( thought maybe that was causing the binding) and it did start working. Had to sinc the slide but works now. Worried about the extra seal and if that could cause it to bind.

I also have a 2015 27N. They started branding the 27N as LX in 2016. In any case...

The Lippert Swintek Slideout Controllers have a adjustment for how much force the motor can apply before it decides the slide has moved all the way out or in. You may need to increase the force slightly if your slide did not open when closed. Change in small increments. The 3 controllers are in the front drivers side compartment behind an easily removable access panel.

Lichtsinn RV in Forest City can sell you replacement slide seal material. I have had to replace the side and bottom slide seals on several of the slides. The top ones being protected by the slide toppers seem to still be good on mine.

The originals are not defective, they are like windshield wipers and don't last forever. There are two parts to each seal, a base that sticks onto the RV with 3M tape, pre-applied to the slide seal base, and a wiper that slides into the slot on the base. There is a small screw in the bottom of each vertical wiper that keeps it from sliding down.

You use the old slide seals as a template for where to notch water drip cutouts and how to cut the ends.

It was a easy job to remove and replace the bad slide seals. the worst part is getting the residue from the original base 3M tape cleared away enough that the new base will stick well.
