Morning All. Reaching out, the sweep/bulb gasket on our 2015 Vista has started to crack with age. Not toast yet, but defiantly on the repair list. I’ve been searching the forums and the web, but can’t find any model specific info on how to replace. The info I have found for other models makes it look within my realm of skills, but wondering if any else has done it.

2015 Winnie Vista 35B. Front Drivers Side Slide out, and it’s the slide closest to the front of the vehicle. (Left side of slide out as you are staring at it, vertical gasket)

I replaced the ones that were failing last year. One day project. The sweep is part of a base and the bulb is a 2nd piece that fits into a track in the base. Lichtsinn sells both together by the foot, it is affordable ( about $ 100 last year ) and an exact replacement. I don't remember for sure but I believe that bottom and sides the base is self adhesive 3m tape attached.

The top being protected by the slideout cover was still in great condition so I did not replace it. I would be more work to replace the top one since the slideout cover would have to be removed to get it out of the way.

It was time consuming to remove most of the old adhesive tape reside to create a good surface to attach the new base to.

There are a few small screws that screw thru the bulb piece into the base piece that make sure the bulb can't fall out of the base. You will need to find them and remove them as part of taking off the existing pieces.

You need to make the same water "weep" holes in the new bottom base piece using the old bottom base as a template. You use the old pieces as templates for how to trim the sweeps and bulb pieces to minimize water intrusion.

Thank you both! I had looked at Steel but was having a hard time matching up what I needed. Lichtsinn had the parts in stock, I just needed to tell them how much which I did today. I was also able to find the screws ypu mentioned Powercat, I think I have enough knowledge to be dangerous!

Will let you know where I land, just need the seals to arrive and a sunny Saturday.

I had the same problem trying to find a Steele Rubber replacement part for the exact seals you need. After a few months, the Steele guy re-contacted me, and they were now building the right part. Sorry, I don't have the part number, but here is the guy who organized the research and developed the right Winnebago seal:

Thanks Danhannah! I had looked at Steele but didn’t see anything that lined up to what I was looking for, so I bought from Lichtsinn. Guessing it was staring me in the face when I looked on Steele’s website.

Should anyone be on the hunt, the OEM version is 2 separate pieces, the sweep seal and the bulb seal. Here are the Winnebago part #s:

184912-01-01A - wipe seal
184913-01-01A - bulb seal

I’ll let you all know how the install goes, Vermont is on weekend #22 in a row of “measurable precipitation” this year (aka it’s snowed or rained or both the last 22 weekends in a row) so I’m biding my time for a dry Saturday/Sunday to attack. Also on deck is the weatherstripping in a number of the basement doors that are getting past their prime.
