2015 Micro Minnie 2108FBS Pantry Mods

Receiver has a 350 lb limit?
Meaning that is all that is left in the load limit after the trailer current tongue load?
Or maybe 3500 lb limit?
Bill
The receiver on the rear of the trailer has a 350 lb limit. I purchased the trailer but had surgery the day after so it is still at the dealer and I have had some additions and modifications completed. I plan to visit a trailer hitch installer as he stated he could likely beef up the existing receiver on the trailer. The truck used for towing has a 9200 lb limit so may main concern is the structural integrity of the receiver on the trailer.

Thought you originally meant the receiver on a tow vehicle.
Even with the load limit I found it not really practical to mount much on the rear of the trailer.
The wind drag is noticeable and even though the weight was balanced with the tongue load it still “wagged the dog” when driving down the road.

We have a simpler design that does the same thing. The long shelf sits on the existing cabinet shelves. There are rubber wheels on the back end and rubber feet on the front end. Here is a picture from above and below. Our FLX is in storage. I happen to have the one we built for under the bench.

My wife and I recently bought a 2025 Micro Minnie 2108FBS. Once home, we noted the pantry had a somewhat narrow entry but was a full 2ft. deep from front to back. We also noted there were limited storage options for flatware and kitchen utensils. At age 75, I wanted to improve access to the pantry and increase the storage options. I added side-out floors to the existing two shelves. I also added another top shelf for flatware and another bottom pullout shelf. See the photos. The side rails for the shelves (including the front and back rails) are made 1/16" x 1.5" extruded aluminum angle from Lowes. The slide hardware is also from Lowes per the photo.View attachment 1330498View attachment 1330500View attachment 1330501
Fantastic work on this mod. This spring I very well will somewhat plagiarize this idea for our '23 2108DS. Love the additional top shelf idea which will free up a drawer!!

Hi again. This is for Spag1961 and IdahoHunter who asked for more info on my Pantry Mods. I added wooden side rails on either side for the drawer slide rails. To clear the front opening, the wood rail on the left was1.64" wide. The one on the right was 1.27" wide. See first photo. That allowed each slide-out tray to have a width of just over 7.5" inside the extruded aluminum side walls. Hope this helps.View attachment 1950095 View attachment 1950097View attachment 1950100View attachment 1950101
Hi NM_Bruce,

Great mod! How did you attach the left and right wooden side rails to support your custom pullout drawers? Are they resting or attached to the existing shelves?

Thanks!

How do you keep the pantry door closed when traveling with these inserts?

Thanks!

I mounted a 1/4" piece of wood with holes drilled in it that are slightly bigger than the rubber feet. We have to lift a little before it will slide (roll) out. I'll send you a picture next time I'm at the stroage place.
