2014 Vista 26HE A/C ceiling vent vanes popped loose

My duct vents have plastic pieces with directional parts. The entire duct exit is round, and the plastic parts responsible for directing the air have popped up inside of the duct. I can see they are supposed to be snapped down into a seated position but I am not finding a way to "snap" them back down into the duct exit / seated position. Has anyone solved this problem? Using what to grab the round vent thingie and pull it back down into the seated position?

The round ducts I think of have something to hold them to the ceiling. Not seeing any screws, I assume? Tried prying gently around the edges to see if it snaps in or possibly rotates to comoe off?
I'm guessing the flaps are something plasitc and the little nubs or grooves they fit in have broken. I would start with the problem of getting the old one off the ceioling and then look for what may be broken, with the idea that the whole vent needs replaced.
But a picture of what you have may be a good plan to let folks take a look at what is there!

If they are like the ducts on my previous Adventurer, and I’d guess they are, you just pull the whole round plastic duct down and out of the duct. They just snap into place. You’ll see how the individual vanes are easily snapped into a moving plastic bar. This connects the vanes so they move together. Then just snap the whole round assembly back into place.

I can see that they just snap down into the surrounding plastic piece. However unless I remove the individual vanes I can't get my fingers up in there to pull it back down and snap it into place.

You are saying remove the vanes, pull it back into place, and then reinsert the vanes?

BTW they got pushed up and out of that retaining groove because they don't rotate freely, and while trying to rotate them to direct air differently, they popped upwards out of the retaining groove.

No the whole round vent just pops out with the vanes attached.

If there are no screws showing you may have something like this common one from Valterra?
Looks like the main body screws on the ceiling and then a cover snaps on it to hide the screws?

Hook your fingers between the vanes on the assembly edge and pull down to seat. Place your thump on the edge only of the vent/vane assembly and firmly push up. This will safely dislodge it. Turn it on edge to remove.
The outer ring can be pried off, and the screws removed to remove the assembly.

I can sorta do this, however it appears that the vent plastic material is old and perhaps crumbling. So it seats but won't stay seated. And if I rotate it to direct the flow elsewhere, it may or may not pop back up to a non-seated position. Someone showed a new to buy vane / vent assy. I will likely just buy new ones and install them. Or just pull down to seat, rotate as desired, pull them back down to seat, and hope I don't need to reposition them. Or get some sort of silicon lube and lube them, which might allow them to rotate freely, It is precisely because they are old (I have a new to me 2014) that they don't really spin as I would assume they did when new.

In any event I did as instructed, used my fingers on either side and pulled down to more or less seat them again.

In the big picture scheme of things, this is a minor issue in an RV that I really love and can afford.

I like them because the cold air exits them horizontally instead of blowing down, I think it helps the MH cool easier. Their downside is, hot air exits the same way and does not reach floor level when using the heat pump.

Just fixed the same exact issue on my 2017 Sightseer. The outer ring snaps to the duct tube. Pretty tight fit but it will come off. Try using a butter knife and gently twist till the outer ring comes off. You’ll then see where the vanes snap in place. Before snapping the vanes in place I suggest cleaning pieces with a brush (I used an old toothbrush) and lubricate both pices and the vane pivot points with dry silicone spray.
