We are downsizing from a High End 38ft Endeavor Diesel Pusher to a 2013 View Profile 24G that we will pick up in late March.

I have been searching for a forum that I can ask questions and get answers from other RV'ers who have the same type. I have found the Yahoo group and DO NOT LIKE the way they are laid out, I find them really hard to follow. Does anyone know of a Forum that has the same format that is represented on here?

For now I will ask questions here; Does anyone know if the View comes with a 3 stage inverter/charger? By that I mean can I leave it plugged in 24/7 without boiling the batteries?

If it can't can I install a Trik-L-Start to stop the boiling over problem.

Thanks LeeB

I leave my fifth wheel plugged in all summer with no issues. I show RV comes with two batteries so I would assume they would have a 3 stage converter. If not I would be disappointed.

I see best would be to contact where you placed order.

I have a 2012 model m view and have been worring about boiling the batteries. If you get and answer please let me know or post it. Thanks Jay

I submitted the question to my salesperson. I am hoping to get a answer today or the next...... I have read on the Yahoo that the older Views do NOT have 3 or 4 stage chargers.

The View doesn't have a three stage converter. It is something you could have the dealer replace with a Progressive Dynamics 45 amp converter. You should get credit for the converter taken out and I would think they would do it no charge to get the sale. The Trik-L-Start won't keep the battery from boiling, but will keep the chassis battery charged. If you check the water once a month it shouldn't be any thing to worry about.

Thanks John, I already ordered my coach but it has not been built YET. I hope I can get them to change it. I am willing to bet that my coach is built in a different building. But I would think that Winnebago would be able to get a three stage converter...... I'll have to ask...... Thanks again

Very easy to do yourself. It is so trivial, I can't imagine the dealer would charge. Doing it yourself you would have the converter it came with to deal with. You could buy the new converter on line though and probably come out way ahead.

Here I go again putting cart before the horse....... :banghead: I agree 100% but my problem right now is I have no idea where it even is, until I get the Coach...... LoL

I would think it a lot easier to swap out the batteries.
Batteries get expensive to be just replacing them all the time......

Sorry, I meant replacing with batteries that won't boil. My previous coach, 03 Adventurer, had old style converter and 2 Optimum Batteries. I never touched them. Still worked when I traded in last Mar.

The downside was only 110 amp hrs capacity, not real good for long term dry camping.

But you could install higher capacity batteries.

The 2013 View Profile has a single stage 13.8 VDC converter which is build into the power control module.
