2012 Tour 42QD Drivers Infotainment Stereo Replacement

I own a 2012 Tour 42QD and have had an issue with the front drivers stereo not allowing me to use many of the applications on the touch screen, or even changing the time. I would like to replace the stereo with something newer. Does anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to the group - lots of new friends here and on IRV2. A couple of us have replaced the infotainment system with a 'like' system (no longer available) or the newest upgrade. These come from RiverPark and you can buy at retail and install yourself with quite a savings. A search on this forum and IRV2 may get you some other product specific recommendations. That's one solution...

Perhaps before you replace your unit share a little more about what you're experiencing. Have you talked to the RiverPark techs (pretty knowledgeable and good on phone support)? Have you updated the Rand McNally system? Tried a soft reboot? Looked at 're-aligning' the touch screen?

Steve... I checked the 2012 Tour Operator's Manual and I'm not at all sure it's a Riverpark/Xite System. It may be, but the monitors sure look different.

I'm not sure what kind of system it is. Perhaps "STFTour" could tell us what brand of infotainment they have.

From what I see in the manual it's a double DIN sized monitor. But what it should be replaced with I haven't a clue.

Thanks - I agree ... like my unit (built in '14, titled as a '15) there were changes in manufacturers / components used from mid '11 into '13, then model upgrades late '14 through to '15 and '16. I hope the OP calls RiverPark to learn more about what he may have, a possible fix, and/or more info about a replacement option.
