An RVer’s 2008 Vectra TD entry door no longer locks with the push button, although the battery is reported good and the compartment locks still operate. Members suggested checking whether power reaches the door lock, inspecting for jammed or broken latch parts, and checking the brass door-to-jamb contacts for dirty surfaces or loose wire connections.

Another member reported that loose wires in the lock relay sockets caused a similar problem on a 2005 Vectra 40FD, though the same...

Our 2008 Vectra door will not lock with the push button any longer. Battery is fine, compartments still lock and unlock. Any suggestions? Thanks

We don't have enough info to go to the correct drawings without knowing which model of 2008 Vectra you have, so some of this will be guessing! One thought if you have the same items, is a question about the keypad. If that works, it would seem to say the power to the lock is okay so you might skip over things like a blown fuses?
But we really need to know more about which exact RV you have to do the better look at things like the electrical side.
But it is also true that I might think the mechanical side of RV door locks is more likely to fail!
It may be worth taking it off to see what may have broken down inside.
This is info from one of the Vectra line of RV and may be the same as what you have for some ideas.

My thought is that when the compartment doors are working and it is the same power circuit, that might lead me to look at the door itself and check the power signal is getting there and also look for anything jammed or broken.

There should be brass buttons on the door jamb and on the door proper, these mate to make 12V connections. Remove each and check the wire connections are clean and tight, then polish the brass buttons with 0000 steel wool or an eraser.

Looking at the same question on elec trical contact to things? If the sun visor is working, we might jump tot he lock , etc thatuse the same circuit as expected to work!
But that idea may also need a closer look than first guess!
This is what I see from draings to ID wires where battery and ground should be on these parts, IF you get deeper into the problem and dig an item out?

If getting that deep and finding wires, Winn stamps ID on the wires. Finding a long string of letters/numbers, look at the last several letters in that string, in this case maybe 2 letters. MK for battery and MJ for ground! But then that battery and grtound has to get to the door latch itself and it has to move, so still some checks for what is wrong!
Good luck on the trek!

In our 05 Vectra 40FD, the door and compartment lock/unlock circuits run through relays. Ours are located in the exterior compartment in front of the driver's side steer tire. I found that the wires were not securely in the socket/base of the relay and I wasn't getting current through the relay to the locks. I went through all of them and found a few like that. I am assuming the vibration over the miles traveled played a part.
